Album Review: Walk Among Us

Album: Walk Among Us
Band: Misfits
Genre: Horror Punk, Hardcore Punk
Duration: 24:58
Rating: 9.5/10

Walk Among Us is simply the best Misfits album of any era of the band. It shows the band in their prime, and it has some of their best songs, such as "Astro Zombies", and "I Turned into a Martian". The production is fantastic, and the melodies and hooks in the songs are fantastic. Danzig's vocals are at their best (when he was in the misfits) here. This is also the first album to feature the iconic misfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein. Though he may not have been the most talented guitarist, he has an instantly recognizable tone and a great overall guitar sound. Arthur Googy's (he has a freaking weird last name) drumming is pretty good as well. The bass lines are also great, and they shape most of the melody along with Danzig's vocals. One thing that makes this a fantastic album is the tone on it. The overall mood and sound is unmistakably Misfits. If you are only going to buy one Misfits album, get this one.

Strongest Tracks: "I Turned into a Martian", "20 Eyes", "Nike A Go Go", "Hatebreeders", "Astro Zombies", Vampira", Skulls"

Weakest Tracks: "All Hell Breaks Loose","Violent World"
