Genre: Hardcore Punk, Skate Punk, Punk Rock

Rating: 8.2/10

The Adolescents self titled album is easily one of the greatest punk albums of all time. The songs are both angry, fast, aggresive, and catchy all at the same time. The band's musicianship sounds solid, and singer Tony Cadena's vocals are infectious. The production could be better, but it still sounds pretty good. One thing about this album is the guitar solos on the song "Amoeba". They aren't just random little blasts of noise, they follow the key of the main riff, and they sound cool. The lyrics on "I hate Children" are great, because they are angry and vulgar, just like any pissed off punk song should be like. So many bands seem to have ripped off this band, a great example would be the intro to "Wrecking Crew", because it sounds like a Grunge song. Overall, this album is fantastic, and it is not one to underestimate.

Strongest Songs:"Amoeba", "I hate Children", "Wrecking Crew", "Kids of the Black Hole" "No Way", "Democracy"
 "L.A. Girl"
Weakest songs: "Who is Who", "No Friends"
